I know the exact time and place I discovered a passion for writing, it was 3 am, I was in our bedroom, in the dark, my husband sound asleep in the bed and I was cradling my newborn son.
In one had I was scribbling notes onto a scrap of cardboard with a wonky pen whilst holding our babe to my chest. It seems quite fitting considering my writing now focuses on childhood, natural pace learning, and nature connection.

My writing has been described as lyrical, wholesome and relatable. It still feels a little surreal I’ve been able to discover this creative skill.

These days I'll mostly be found at our little homestead, either surrounded by children or with my hands in the earth tending our beautiful community garden. It's soul filling work and is truly fuel for the creative fire.

Currently my writing process is one born from the gorgeous liminal time of 5am. It feels like a moment in the day where everything is put on pause. Usually it comes to an end at first light or when my son comes downstairs for a morning cuddle, the laptop is closed and I step into Mama mode for the day.

The pages on this site are a placeholder for projects in the pipeline. An exciting collection of words and stories crafted from our days at the homestead, motherhood and the beautiful world of childhood.

With Gratitude,

Lorna
